On September 25, 2023, National Health Commission (NHC) issued 17 national standards for food contact materials. Among them, there are 5 product standards (ink, plastic, metal, rubber, composite materials) and 12 testing standards. In addition to the revision of the existing standards, new product standard and testing standards have been enacted, such as GB 4806.14-2023 ink standard. The series of standards released have brought significant changes to the regulatory requirements for food contact materials, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the food contact industry need to respond in time. CIRS Group will launch an online training session on November 23 to analyze the new regulatory requirements for food contact materials and help enterprises respond promptly and accurately.

Wing Yu , Food Business Division Technical Manager

Ms. Wing Yu, certified toxicologist of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, holds a master's degree in food engineering. She is a highly experienced professional in global food regulatory compliance, with over 10 years of service at CIRS. Currently, she manages technical projects including Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) in the US, novel food applications in the EU, and new food raw materials/new food additives registration in China. She has successfully obtained approvals for numerous new product applications, accumulating a wealth of successful cases in these areas.

Hui Xu , Food Business Division Food Regulatory Consultant

Mr. Hui Xu has a deep understanding of food regulations both domestically and internationally, with over 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in new food raw materials and new food additives registration in China, and is well versed in the management and registration of food ingredients in Europe and the United States. Being proficient in Japanese, he focuses on providing food-related compliance services for Japanese enterprises.
