    • Introduction

    With the rapid development of the food industry, more and more new food raw materials (novel food) have been developed and applied, the research on them has also become a worldwide trend. In order to regulate the use of new food raw materials and ensure food security, they are allowed to enter the market after passing the safety assessment. In 1983, China first proposed new food raw material management requirements, and issued the first regulation in 1987. After more than 30 years, the regulatory system has become more complete. Up to now, many new food raw materials have been approved.

    In order to help domestic and foreign enterprises understand the status of new food raw material application and management system in China, CIRS Group will hold a live webinar in June 2021. The content will go from simple to deep, including the development history of regulation of new food raw materials, the current management system, and the interpretation on the application of new food raw materials.     Ms. Wing Yu graduated from Zhejiang University with Master Degree of Food Engineering. After joining CIRS, she focuses on the food regulatory compliance field and is responsible for the technical work of health food registration and filing, FSMP registration, infant formula registration, “three new food” (new food raw material, new food additive, and new food contact substance) registration in China. She has successfully obtained the approval of a number of new products application, and accumulated rich practical experience in long-term work.
    Hui Xu , Food Business Division Food Regulatory Consultant
    Mr. Hui Xu has a deep understanding of food regulations both domestically and internationally, with over 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in new food raw materials and new food additives registration in China, and is well versed in the management and registration of food ingredients in Europe and the United States. Being proficient in Japanese, he focuses on providing food-related compliance services for Japanese enterprises.

    Ms. Doris Huang graduated from Wageningen University with a Master degree in food quality and management. She is familiar with the latest food, FSMP, infant formula related regulations and trends, and is an expert in providing overseas enterprises with regulatory compliance consultancy.
