Since 2023, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has been rolling out a series of regulations on health food. On the filing front, China’s health food filing directory continues to expand, with DHA, protein, Ginseng radix ET rhizome, Panacis quinquefolii radix, and Ganoderma being added as new filing raw materials. Regarding registration, the long-awaited health food functions catalog, evaluation methods for health food functions, and implementation details for new health food functions application have finally been established, offering hope for revitalizing the long-dormant market. Against the backdrop of current regulations, the change of health food registration certificate process is about to commence.

CIRS Group will launch an online training session on April 2, 2024 to update you on the latest regulations regarding health food and introduce the process and requirements for change of health food registration certificate for products with no validity period and technical requirements. We aim to assist businesses in gaining a better understanding of health food regulatory requirements, thus supporting them in smoothly completing the renewal process within the five-year transition period.

Ms. Jessie Shen has a master’s degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester. She is familiar with food and food contact material industry. She focuses on health food, foods for special medical purpose (FSMP), food ingredient and food contact materials regulatory compliance and has more than 8 years of experience in providing professional consultation for overseas enterprises. She has been assisting hundreds of overseas enterprises to ensure their compliance with Chinese regulations.

Hui Xu , Food Business Division Food Regulatory Consultant

Mr. Hui Xu has a deep understanding of food regulations both domestically and internationally, with over 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in new food raw materials and new food additives registration in China, and is well versed in the management and registration of food ingredients in Europe and the United States. Being proficient in Japanese, he focuses on providing food-related compliance services for Japanese enterprises.

Ms Kyungmi Park has over ten years of experience in China-related business in Korea, including six years of experience in the field of cosmetic regulations.
